Beach dwellers
“Matsch und Paddel!” Mud and paddle, two essentials for coastal explorers, beach pirates,
sandcastle builders and mud diggers. Whether deep in the salty waves of the
sea, on the sun-warmed beach, up on the lush green dyke or soaring through the
storm clouds: this is where our cute animal children live. Kea the seagull,
Peet the seal, Molle the sheep and Freda the sandpiper are the best of friends
and together they always find things to do and adventures to be had - because
there's something going on at the coast all year round. There will be running,
jumping, fluttering and tumbling for everyone!

PEET, the little seal
Peet the seal is in a good spirits, because later today his parents' trawler chugs
out to sea again. Peet loves swimming in the sea and diving deep into the world
of fish, crabs and mussels. Don't swim too far, Peet, there'll be herrings for
dinner later!
KEA, the little seagull
What a treat! Seagull Kea made the big catch today. Like all little seagulls, Kea
can't get her beak full enough. No wonder, because when she is back on her feet
again, running to and fro, she quickly gets hungry again. And off she flutters
to her next adventure!
FREDA, the little sandpiper
Sandpipers are real pros on the beach and in the mudflats! With their long legs, they can
reach even the most mysterious places! Sandpiper Freda also has a few favorite
places where you can collect shells, build beach castles and find treasures. Of
course, it's most fun if you have a friend along for company!
MOLLE, the sheep
Molle the sheep loves to invent and repair and has the right tool for every project
in his shed! Today he went looking for flotsam and jetsam behind the old dyke
and found a real treasure! What might be hidden away in the chest?!
